For a fun lil' activity, I grabbed 2 of the ladies (Aid was having a Spanish lesson) to do an estimation activity with me-Lil' did they know, they would actually be learning lol. First thing I did is bring them into the front playroom, showed them a few small toys, & then asked them how many of those lil' toys they thought it would take to reach the education room a few feet away. The girls looked at me strange for a second & then got pretty excited about the idea.
Asher estimated 100 toys while Austin guessed about 150 toys. We then quickly got to lining the toys up from 1 wall all the way to the education room. It took quite while, but we finally made it! The final total came out to 169 toys!
This was a great Saturday morning activity! It had the girls working together, using their brains, & learning to stick with something & see it through to the end. Definitely recommend it!
