Sticky Table

I talked about this lil' activity I found on Pinterest in the " 'A' Review" post recently, but I just wanted to emphasize how fun this sticky table idea really is! So simple. All you need is a table, clear contact paper, clear tape, & cut out construction paper pieces. All you do is tape the contact paper to a table sticky side up & then you are ready for the fun! My girls first did the exercise where they formed their own apples out of pre-cut apple centers, leaves, & stems. A few days later they were asking to do this great activity again & so this time I gave them random shapes to form things on their sticky table. Another time we used Popsicle sticks on the table. That day, I had also left the room for a few minutes only to return to see that the ladies' imaginations were in full swing & they had also started sticking Polly Pockets, blocks, & other interesting items on their table. It was a good experiment and everything came off easily! Highly recommend this activity!!! Great sensory activity.

Got Gas?

For weeks now my kiddos have been observing a new gas station being built near our house. They have been watching everything from the dirt being pushed around, gas pumps put in, until now-The opening day! The whole process really intrigued them. I cannot tell you how many times I got the question, "Is it time? Is it time?". Well, THE time had finally come & we took the girls to see the finished product!

Let me start this off by saying, this is no ordinary gas station. This QT is the Rolls Royce of them all, lol. It is huge! The girls' eyeballs nearly popped out of their heads as we entered the building. People were everywhere, the place was absolutely packed out!!! Aidann turned to me & said, "Wow, Mommy. These people must really like gas!". We let the ladies go up & down the aisles observing the soda dispensers, slushy makers, chip aisles, & everything. They were so amazed that this place started from nothing! They literally watched it be built from the ground up, what a wonderful experience for them. Eventually, we let them each pick out a "special" (aka sometimes food) to enjoy & then our lil' field trip was over.

I definitely recommend trying to find something new being built by you like a house, a bank or whatever & letting your children get to watch it grow daily-Enjoy & observe the process of how something starts out as just a plan on paper but soon becomes a reality! Vision.
