Ice, Ice, BABY-Make Your Own Ice Cream Activity!

Today was definitely a fun Frozen themed day! We started it off with a trip to the Red Store (Aka: Target). What does that have to do with Frozen you ask? I have no idea, we just adore the place lol. Then we made a stop at Party City to get more birthday supplies for my 2 oldests' Frozen birthday coming up this fall. It was amazing how many supplies were gone from the shelves already, but once again "So goes Frozen".

After that we went to the library so the ladies could make their very own ice cream & then enjoy the sing along version of the movie. This activity was so simple & fun that I just have to share it with all of you. I know we will definitely be trying it again very soon.

The supplies you will need are as follows:

-Large ziplock bags
-Small ziplock bags
-Measuring spoons
-Measuring cup
-Sugar
-Vanilla extract
-Half & half
-Epson salt
-Ice
-A spoon to enjoy ice cream with!

*Directions are to make one individual serving.

The first thing you will need to do is take a small & put in 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 a cup of half/half, & 1/4 a teaspoon of vanilla. Then SEAL THE BAG. Some people missed this step & things got crazy, lol.

Next, take a large ziplock & add 4 1/2 cups of ice & 1/2 of rock salt.

Place the small SEALED ziplock inside of the large ziplock that is already filled with the ice & salt (try to make sure you place it where ice is all around the small bag).

Then, the kids favorite step, seal the big ziplock & shake away! Shake some more! And then shake a little more!

Once your mixture has turned into ice cream, take it out of the large bag & just let your kiddo eat it right out of the small ziplock-ENJOY!
