Stick 2 It!

Sometimes on those extra busy days when you are constantly on the go, it can be hard to find some time to squeeze in some extra school for your preschooler. Well, here is an easy travel activity that can help you review letter recognition & sounds with your kiddo in a fun way. Take tongue depressors & write out all the letters of the alphabet, big & small. Be sure to draw consonants in 1 colors &  vowels in another.

Once you are finished, simply throw all 26 sticks in a ziplock & they are ready to go wherever you are!

You can whip them out at anytime to test your kiddo on letter recognition, have them say the sounds, identify the capital & lowercase letter, or have them state whether each one is a vowel or consonant.

These sticks are a fun change from regular flash cards & kids will feel so proud when they get to keep the ones they identify correctly. With these sticks is also easy to keep track if which letters your kiddo needs to work on. When your finished you can wrap the ones that they are really good at in a green rubber & the ones they may need a lil extra work on with a red rubber band.

Well, happy schooling!
