The girls have really been into robots lately. They love dancing like them & talking like them so today I thought it would be super fun to gather all the empty boxes, cans, & etc that had accumulated over the past week & have the girls use their imaginations to make their own robots.
It was such a simple art activity & the girls really enjoyed the fact that there were no limits or guidelines for what their robots should look like. I definitely recommend this project for boys OR girls. All you need is a hot glue gun (for parents to use only, somethings need more than tape to stick together), various sizes of boxes, cans, empty water bottles, foil, construction paper, scissors, tape, things to use as buttons & knobs, & pretty much anything else you think would help make a marvelous robot. After your child or children have completed their robots you can have them put on a robot parade where they can showcase what they have created & explain what their robots do.
